Former Soldier Overcomes Vision Loss with the Help of Guide Dogs from the Israel Guide Dog Center

Here's my conversation with Achiya Klein, the third installment of a four-part series about the Canadian Friends of the Israel Guide Dog Center. Available in audio only.

Achiya Klein relates losing his eyesight due to an explosion in 2013, while he commanded an Israel Defense Forces unit tasked with dismantling a tunnel in Gaza.

Achiya has since gone on to earn two post-secondary degrees and has competed as a rower with Israel's Paralympic team. All with the help of Night and Joy, his two guide dogs.
